Guichon Valves has manufactured a 8 way jacketed valves for a polymer application. There are 5 pistons – some pistons closing 2 branches – all with pneumatic actuators. Additionally to the usual challenges of jacketed multiway valves, our welders had to deal with the small size of the valve (branches are between DN50 and DN15), the all stellited seats and ways very close to each other.
Our team, from design office to final machining, worked closely together all along the various steps to anticipate all issues that may occurred : for example, to prevent or correct deformation special tools were made and some extra material was considered.
All their efforts led to manufacturing success !
